About our Operations Manager

Annabel

Annabel is often the first point of contact for families reaching out for support. She works closely with parents and carers on a daily basis, listening to their concerns, answering enquiries, and helping them navigate what can often feel like an overwhelming journey to find the right educational support.

As a parent of children with special educational needs herself, she truly understands the challenges, frustrations, and emotional impact that can come with trying to secure the right help. Her lived experience enables her to approach every family with empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make things easier.

Whether it’s guiding you through the initial stages, matching you with the right tutor, or simply being there to answer questions, her aim is to make the process as straightforward and reassuring as possible.

Behind the scenes, she manages SEND Tutoring’s day-to-day operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. This allows our tutors to focus on delivering high-quality, personalised support, while families can feel confident that every detail is being handled with care.

Annabel is passionate about creating a supportive and reliable service where families feel heard, understood, and confident that they are in safe hands.

About our Copywriter at SEND Tutoring

Ella

Ella brings a creative spark to SEND Tutoring, blending her background in teaching with a passion for writing and content creation. Ella’s natural flair for storytelling shines through every blog and newsletter she crafts, keeping families, educators, and supporters informed and inspired.

As a drama teacher, she’s worked closely with children to help them build confidence, imagination and self-expression, an experience that deepened her understanding of diverse learning styles and the power of inclusive education. Her years working in childcare and education have given her hands-on experience supporting children’s emotional and educational development, enriching her perspective on how to tailor communication and learning approaches to each child’s unique needs.

These experiences inspired her to join SEND Tutoring, where she works to drive meaningful change towards education that honours individuality and opens doors for every child to thrive.

Beyond writing, Ella plays a key role in shaping the voice and presence of SEND Tutoring online. She’s always exploring new ways to improve our website, making it more accessible, user-friendly, and reflective of our values. She’s also passionate about building connections across the SEND education community, actively networking with professionals, parents, and advocates to share ideas, collaborate and strengthen support.

Through her work, Ella helps shape SEND Tutoring into more than just a service. She creates a welcoming space for learning, support, and community.

What makes SEND Tutoring different?

Our History

SEND Tutoring started as an idea a few years ago when I qualified as a primary school teacher and realised that I couldn’t possibly reach all of the SEND children in my class. As a dyslexic myself I know how important it is to have support that’s relevant, fun and prevents widening the gap between you and your peers. Also, the type of intervention that supports the creative and builds inner confidence to not lose faith and believe in your own unique talents.

What’s brilliant about SEND Tutoring is that all our tutors are qualified teachers who also possess additional qualifications and experience in SEN. Each specialist is focussed on a different aspect of the child and education, resulting in providers more likely to identify areas of need, and subsequently support them in an effective way.

We are Corporate Members of The Tutors’ Association and also feature in The Good Schools Guide.
