How it works

How it works

SEND Tutoring helps parents find the right tutor, based on the unqiue needs of their child and family. Each specialist is focussed on a different aspect of the child and education, resulting in providers more likely to identify areas of need, and subsequently support them in an effective way.

The SEND Tutoring difference

The difference between SEND Tutoring and other services offering SEN tuition lies in the fact that all the tutors are qualified teachers who also possess additional qualifications and experience in SEN. All of the tutors have an abundance of experience working with children and young people with a range of needs and know how to get the best from them in each lesson.

How it works

Parents/carers get in touch by completing our inquiry form or booking a consultation online. On our call, we gather further information on your specific needs or challenges. We’ll then provide you with several tutor profiles for their consideration. You’ll also receive SEND Tutoring’s contract and privacy notices for review.

Once you’ve made your selection, we’ll introduction you to your chosen tutor via email. They’ll coordinate a call and schedule a paid trial session. Following the initial trial session you’ll be invoiced.

After the trial session, I follow up with a phone call or email to gather feedback on their experience. There is no obligation to continue, but if you would like to continue working with the tutor then you’ll book the sessions in blocks of four and these are invoiced each month.

Fees & Payments

The hourly rate for tutors is dependent on their expertise, which can be found on the the Find a Tutor page.  I always recommend a paid trial to see if there’s a good rapport between your child and the tutor. After the trial we work in blocks of four so I will invoice you for the remaining three left in the block and thereafter every block of four.

Who we are

You require tutors and consultants with “Special Educational Needs & Disability” (SEND) expertise to assist your child. SENDTutoring can use its tutor staffing services to supply such tutors and consultants, who are self-employed professionals who run their own tutoring businesses. SENDTutoring deals with payment from you, our client, and we then have our own separate arrangements for paying the tutors.

Therefore, SENDTutoring does not provide tutoring services itself. Instead, it is an employment business (a type of recruitment company) that supplies professional tutors to you, our hirer client.
