Episode Description

Enhancing Support for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) with SEND Success UK Ltd

On the Pod today we had the pleasure of welcoming Charlotte Francis Finch the Director of SEND Success.

Ahead of the meeting, we sent her these three questions:

  1. What is SEND Success UK Ltd and who do you help?
  2. How did you come to set up SEND Success UK Ltd?
  3. How can people find you, and is there a criterion for those who receive help from your organisation?

Our Approach:

Both directors of SEND Success UK Ltd are late-diagnosed neurodivergent women who understand that every neurodivergent individual, with or without SEND and/or a diagnosis, has distinct needs and abilities. We have both experienced the education system, world of work, and complexities of relationships and wish that we had experienced a greater understanding of how our brains work so that we felt more accepting of ourselves, we have both had many a time where we have thought that we were failing and should try harder to fit in with the crowd – we now can both use these experiences to improve the experiences of others.

Upskilling professionals is a key priority for us and is an essential piece of work to improve the educational experience of children and young people within schools and the professional development of adults within the workplace; having staff that understand SEND and neurodivergence enables them to feel confident to tailor their practice and include reasonable adjustments within their teaching and their management of neurodivergent people, this is such a vital part of enabling individuals to progress and reach their full potential, whilst feeling positive and safe within their environments.

Specialist Knowledge and Expertise:

With years of experience, both professionally and personally, in the field of special education and disability support, our team brings a wealth of specialist knowledge and expertise to the table. We stay up to date with the latest research, best practices, and legal requirements, allowing us to provide informed advice and guidance to our clients.

Collaboration for Optimised Outcomes:

At SEND Success UK Ltd, collaboration is at the heart of everything we do. We believe in working hand-in-hand with organisations, individuals, and loved ones to optimise outcomes for neurodivergent individuals with SEND. By fostering strong partnerships and open communication, we ensure that everyone involved feels empowered and supported throughout the process.

Tailored Support for Holistic Development:

Our approach to support goes beyond academic achievement. We recognise the importance of addressing the holistic needs of individuals with SEND, including their social, emotional, and physical well-being. That’s why our support packages are designed to be comprehensive, addressing all aspects of an individual’s development. Empowering Individuals and Families: At the core of our work is the belief that neurodivergent individuals with SEND, with or without a diagnosis, and their families should be empowered to advocate for themselves and access the support they need. Through education, guidance, and practical support, we equip our clients with the tools and resources they need to navigate the SEND system with confidence. In conclusion, SEND Success UK Ltd is dedicated to providing high-quality, bespoke support packages that improve provision and outcomes for individuals with SEND. With our specialist knowledge, collaborative approach, and commitment to empowerment, we are confident in our ability to make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve.
